Atlific Hotels Bolsters its Toronto Portfolio with a Brand New Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
December 3, 2007 — Cited for its success in overseeing a broad range of business and leisure hotels across Canada, Atlific Hotels has been selected to manage the brand new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites opening in Vaughan, Ontario in April, 2008.
This 125-room property, located on the northwest corner of Highway 7 and Highway 27 has a striking design, providing a wonderful option for Greater Toronto Area business and leisure travellers looking for superior amenities at an affordable price. The hotel also offers meeting space for up to 150 people.
“Atlific now operates 35 hotels across Canada and is growing rapidly with eight new properties slated to open by the end of 2008,” said Philippe Gadbois, Senior Vice President, Atlific Hotels. “Our management experience, combined with a strong presence in Toronto and the recent opening of Canada's first Hotel Indigo in Ottawa, made us an obvious choice to manage this new property. We look forward to introducing the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vaughan to our discriminating guests.”
With new corporate business parks, event venues, shopping and leisure activities in close proximity to this hotel, guests can take advantage of the myriad offerings in the City of Vaughan and nearby Toronto and Brampton.
Both the impressive lobby and Great Room are finished with cherry wood, imported tiles and dramatic carpet in a chic colour scheme of warm earthy tones such as chocolate brown, tan and olive green. With a spectacular double-sided fireplace and unique display of wild field grasses, the Great Room provides a perfect location to unwind, or enjoy complimentary breakfast - and it can be sanctioned off for private functions.
Guestrooms and suites feature upscale touches including spacious bathrooms with imported tile floors, granite counter tops, and Kohler fixtures. All units feature contemporary furniture, large LCD flat screen televisions, and pristine white bedding.
Careful consideration was taken at time of development to find ways to make this new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites an industry leader for energy efficiency. Intelligent motion sensing thermostats automatically adjust the temperature in guest rooms, common areas and meeting facilities when not in use. Instantaneous hot water heaters eliminate the need for oversize water tanks known to waste large amounts of electricity. An ‘Energy Recovery Unit’ captures energy from exhausted air and redistributes that energy back into common areas such as corridors.
The inviting indoor pool area features an Energy Recycler Dehumidifier which lowers the amount of energy consumption. All exterior windows in the hotel were tinted to a low “e” rating and PTAC heaters provide heat via condensing hydronic boilers rather than the less efficient traditional electric heating.
The hotel also boasts higher ceilings and wider corridors than average creating an open and bright environment. With a spacious lobby, indoor pool, exceptional business amenities, choice of rooms or suites and guest laundry facilities. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vaughan will be an excellent and comfortable choice for all guests.
